What we do differently
Most news arrives without context. A rule changes, a number moves, a decision is announced — and the reader is left to work out whether any of it applies to them.
Every report we publish opens with a Quick Overview: what happened, who it affects, what you need to do, and what happens next. If you read nothing else, those four answers should leave you better informed than you were.
Below that, we set out the detail: the timeline of how a story developed, the questions readers actually asked us, and the sources we relied on. Where two sides describe the same event differently, we show both descriptions and attribute them rather than smoothing one away.
How we are funded
Indians Times is independent. We are not owned by a political party, a government body or a corporate group. Where a story touches a commercial relationship of ours, we disclose it in the article itself.
