
The vehicle in which the police officers were travelling met with a road accident in Yadadri district in Telangana State on Saturday.

Two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) rank officers working with the Intelligence Department of the Andhra Pradesh police were killed in a road accident in Choutuppal in the early hours of Saturday (July 26, 2025).
The officers have been identified as Chakradhar Rao and Shantha Rao. Additional Superintendent of Police Durga Prasad and their driver, Narsing Rao, who were also in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The accident was reported around 4.45 a.m. on the Kaithapuram village road when a speeding lorry travelling on the other side of the divider veered off and collided head-on with the car in which the officers were travelling.
According to Choutuppal Inspector G. Manmadha Kumar, the officers were en route to Hyderabad in connection with a case.
Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, State Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, and Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy expressed shock over the death of the two DSPs in road mishap.
The Ministers directed the officers to provide better treatment to the injured and expressed condolences to the bereaved family members.
A case has been booked and further investigation is underway.
