Two women and a man died on the spot when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling collided with a private bus on the national highway near Tallapudi in Kakinada district on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as K. Durga, Lanke Bhavani and K. Kumar. The incident occurred while the trio enroute from Kakinada to Yanam, a city in Pondicherry.
According to Tallarevu Sub-Inspector P. Satyanarayana, “There were no passengers in the bus, which was heading from Yanam to Kakinada to pick up passengers and then to Hyderabad at the time of the accident.”
The bodies have been sent to the Government General Hospital in Kakinada City for post-mortem. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
