Police trace missing four-year-old boy within three hours

The Pentapadu police traced a missing four-year-old boy within three hours of his disappearance in West Godavari district early on Friday morning.

At around 2.30 a.m., E. Kameswara Rao arrived at the Pentapadu police station to lodge a complaint regarding his missing sister. He was accompanied by his family members including a four-year-old boy, who the family left in the car as he was asleep when entering the police station.

However, the boy woke up and left the car before the family members returned.

Pentapadu Sub-Inspector K. Ch. Swamy said: “A local resident spotted the child alone on the road and took him in with the intention of handing him over to the police when daylight broke. “

Using CCTV surveillance, the police traced the local resident who took the boy and safely brought him back. They then handed the boy over to his family.

West Godavari Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi congratulated the Pentapadu police for tracing the boy within three hours.
