While the argument that nepotism is plaguing Bollywood continues to gain momentum, particularly due to the industry’s persistent habit of launching star kids who often fail to prove themselves despite receiving multiple opportunities, renowned actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is showing that not all nepo-babies are entitled or lacking in talent. It appears that the Siddiqui family is now gearing up to introduce a new face to Bollywood, Nawazuddin’s daughter Shora, who recently underwent training in the performing arts with dreams of becoming an actor.
On Monday, Nawazuddin took to social media to share a video featuring Shora’s first acting performance during a workshop. In the clip, Shora is seen performing a short scene with another actor. Her controlled and commanding presence immediately won over fans, many of whom praised her performance and noted that she could become a strong addition to Bollywood’s vast tapestry of talent. Viewers were also impressed by her fluent and natural delivery of English lines.
After the video went viral, numerous netizens expressed admiration for Shora’s performance and predicted a promising career ahead. “I can see the next Radhika Apte in her,” one Instagram user commented. Another wrote, “She will dominate Bollywood.” A user observed, “Look at her eye that way she staring,” while someone else enthused, “She rocks, she rocks, that eye contact, the expressions.” Another Instagram user remarked, “She should make a debut in a Hollywood movie really well enacted scene she did… pauses… the questioning… the right tone. Wow.”

Shora Siddiqui’s acting coach, Ron Kahlon, commented, “God bless her @nawazuddin._siddiqui It was my pleasure working with her. Never seen such raw talent!!”
Shora is the daughter of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife Aaliya alias Anjali. Speaking about his daughter’s aspirations, Nawazuddin previously told Film Companion, “My daughter is taking training right now. She herself went and got admitted to the performing arts faculty, haath jod ke teacher ke saamne (with folded hands in front of her teacher) she said, ‘I want to learn acting.’”
Nawazuddin was last seen in director Sejal Shah’s biographical crime drama Costao (2025). He has Raat Akeli Hai 2, Noorani Chehra and Sangeen in the pipeline.
