The Govindapura police on Thursday arrested a man for sexually harassing a girl in broad daylight while she was out to buy groceries recently .
The accused, identified as Mohammad Maroof Sharief, is now facing charges of sexual harassment and public indecency.
According to police, Sharief reportedly made obscene gestures and sexually harassing the victim on the middle of the road. The victim broke free, rushed home and informed her mother. Shocked, the family later approached the police and filed a complaint.
Based on the complaint , the police tracked down the accused through the CCTv footage recovered from in and around the scene of crime.
