Pop icon Justin Bieber has been in the public eye since he was 15 years old, after he became a household name across the world due to his debut single ‘Baby’. In the past few years, however, Bieber has been involved in several concerning episodes, like altercations with the media, questionable posts on social media and a general lack of new music. Fans of the megastar have grown concerned about the star’s mental health and worry about how all the attention and scrutiny is affecting him. In a recent post on social media, Bieber finally addressed these issues and took a stance of acceptance regarding his mental state.
Bieber’s social media posts have been the point of debate for quite some time now, and the latest post is the first time the singer has ever admitted that he is, in fact, going through some trouble. The post opens up with the line, “People keep telling me to heal.” Don’t you think if I could have fixed myself, I would have already? I know I’m broken. I know I have anger issues.”
He then moved on to the people who have been telling him to fix his problems and focus on his work and stated that he has listened to all of them, and yet he does not feel any better. Bieber said, “I tried to do the work my whole life and to be like the people who told me I needed to be fixed like them, and it just keeps making me more tired and more angry.” The ‘Boyfriend’ singer said that his faith in God is the only thing which makes him feel motivated and helps him care about others because he is personally “exhausted” with thinking about himself. In another post, which was titled “Me when my DoorDasher is late”, the singer shared screenshots of a conversation on Instagram, where he seems to be calling out the person on the other side. He said, “I will never suppress my emotions for someone.” Asking a traumatised person not to be traumatised is just mean.”
Since the success of his first single, Bieber has released 6 studio albums and more than 70 singles while cementing himself as one of the most well-known music figures of the 21st century. He has collaborated with artists like Drake, Usher, Ludacris, DJ Khaled and many more during these 15 years. In 2018, the Canadian singer married model Hailey Baldwin, and the couple share a son named Jack Blues Bieber.
