Siddharth Kaushal, a senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, announced his voluntary resignation from the services, emphasising that the decision stems purely from personal reasons after deep introspection.

In a press statement released on Wednesday, Mr. Kaushal clarified that his resignation was neither prompted by external pressure nor by any form of alleged harassment, dismissing the reports circulating that speculated otherwise. He said: “Such claims are completely baseless and misleading,” stressing that the step was taken independently and aligned with his long-term goals and family wishes.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Kaushal described his tenure in the Indian Police Service as a “fulfilling and enriching journey.” He expressed a special attachment to Andhra Pradesh, where he served extensively, stating, “I have always considered this state my home.”
