Housing and Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy inspected six acres of poramboke land at Velpucharla in Musunuru mandal of Eluru district on Friday to assess its suitability for allocating house sites to the poor.

Accompanied by revenue officials and alliance leaders on Friday, the Minister directed authorities to complete the land survey and levelling work promptly so that housing plots can be distributed to eligible beneficiaries without delay.

During the inspection, the Minister enquired with the local Tahsildar K. Venkata Ramana about the number of plots that could be allotted from the six-acre site. The Tahsildar responded that around 60 house site pattas could potentially be issued.

The Minister emphasised that the plots must be distributed only to genuinely eligible and economically weaker sections. He instructed officials to ensure that the site development process, including land clearance and layout preparation, is expedited to facilitate early distribution.
