A Head constable attached to the Tirukoyilur police station ended his life in his house in Villupuram on Sunday.
The victim was identified as K. Murugan, 53 of Ashok Nagar in Villupuram. He is a native of the district and joined the force in 2002.
The Villupuram West Police registered a case and sent the body to the Government Villupuram Medical College and Hospital.
