Free health, blood donation camp to mark Mudnal’s death anniversary tomorrow

VBR Multi-speciality Hospital, in collaboration with Indian Medical Association (IMA), has organised a free health check-up and blood donation camp in Mundal village of Yadgir taluk to mark the first death anniversary of the former MLA Veerbasant Reddy Mudnal on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference in Yadgir on Sunday, organiser and surgeon Amogh Narasanagi said that Dr. Mudnal was a prominent and pro-poor surgeon.

“He earned recognition not only in the field of politics by serving as a legislator elected from Yadgir constituency but also by serving the poor with his excellent health care and honest service. We have planned to continue his legacy with similar work that he did for the poor. Therefore, we are organising this free health check-up and blood donation camp near his Samadhi in Mudnal village,” Dr. Narasanagi said.

Dr. Mudnal, who died last year due to prolonged ill health, was running VBR Multi-speciality Hospital with the help of his wife, Sangamma Mudnal, who joined hands with him as senior gynaecologist.

“Ms. Mudnal agreed to donate one acre of land for the IMA to organise its activities,” Dr. Narasanagi said and added that the IMA has been extending its cooperation for the social works that the hospital is doing. It has now agreed to jointly organise the free health check-up and blood donation camp.

IMA district unit president Chandrakanth Pujari, Kshateej, doctor Veerareddy and Maruti Kalal were present.
