Over the past year, an unexpected YouTube duo filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan and her long-time cook, Dilip, have been winning hearts online. What began as a light-hearted attempt at casual vlogging has now blossomed into a full-blown viral sensation with over 1.68 million subscribers on YouTube. Their content primarily revolves around home visits to celebrity friends, delicious recipe demonstrations and candid banter that never fails to entertain. What stands out is the unfiltered dynamic between Farah and Dilip, who has been working in her household for the past 11 years.
Each episode captures their hilarious chemistry, where Dilip often complains and Farah comes up with witty comebacks. In many videos, Dilip jokingly demands a raise while Farah counters with dig at his work ethic. Now, in their latest video, Dilip takes things a step further and tries to spook Farah with surprise tricks.
The vlog opens with Farah herself opening the door and quipping, “Now I have to open the door for you? Isn’t it your job to open it for me?” while they enter Jaaved Jaaferi’s apartment. Moments later, Dilip jumps in with a mischievous prank, which prompts a hilarious reaction from Farah: “Why is this man trying to scare me? If I have to feel scared, I will just look at his thobda (face)!”

The mischief continues inside a lift as Dilip playfully pretends to punch Farah, teasing her for being easily frightened. “Ma’am, you always get scared,” he jokes. To this, Farah quips, “Darr toh mujhe tab lagta hai jab tu pagaar badhane ko kehta hai. (I truly get scared when you ask me to raise your salary.)” She then turns to the camera and takes a dig at her fans, “And y’all think I am the one exploiting him?”
However, not all moments have been fun and games. A few weeks ago, viewers expressed disappointment after noticing casting director Mukesh Chhabra allegedly misbehaving with Dilip in one of the vlogs. Many fans took to the comments to call out the behaviour when the casting director pulled Dilip away from the camera and gesturing sternly.
Farah Khan, however, never commented on the same.
