Fake bomb threat: Munnar police arrest Delhi native

The Munnar police have arrested a Delhi native in connection with a fake bomb threat targeting hotels in the hill station.

According to the police, the arrested was identified as S. Nidhin Sharma, alias Khalid (39). On April 30, the accused sent an email to the Munnar police station claiming that bombs had been planted in various resorts and hotels across the hill station. Based on the threat, bomb squads, sniffer dogs, and a special team of the police conducted a search across the hill station, but no explosives were found.

The accused will be handed over to the Mysuru police after evidence collection,” said the official.

Sharma is accused of attempting to murder his grandmother.
