The BJP questioned the government on the continuous spree of food poisoning incidents in residential welfare societies with several students becoming ill on Monday. Party vice president N.V.S.S. Prabhakar told a press conference at the State office that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy should accept responsibility for the incidents for failing to set up a regulatory mechanism to prevent such incidents. The government had boasted about increasing the budget for food and hygiene but little is visible in the welfare schools, he maintained and demanded strict action against officials found to be lax in their duties.
