Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu condoled the death of senior TDP leader Namburi Seshagiri Rao, who had bravely confronted YSR Congress Party MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy when the latter destroyed an electronic voting machine (EVM) at a polling station in Macherla during the 2024 general elections.
In a press release, Mr. Naidu described Mr. Seshagiri Rao as an inspiration to those fighting against injustice and condemned the MLA’s brazen and unruly conduct during the elections.
TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao also paid tribute, calling Mr. Seshagiri Rao a true leader who fearlessly opposed the anarchic actions of Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy. He said Mr. Rao’s death was a significant loss to the party, particularly in the Palnadu region.
