Union Minister of State for Steel Bhupathi Raju Srinivas Varma, Kakinada MP Tangella Uday Srinivas on Wednesday urged Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to establish the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIEIT) in Pithapuram, Kakinada. Pithapuram assembly constituency is represented by Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan.
In an official release, Mr. Tangella Uday Srinivas said: “Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan has responded positively to our appeal and assured he will consider setting up the NIEIT in Pithapuram. He also expressed his willingness to look into the possibility of setting up other institutes of national importance.”
State Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav also joined the MPs during the meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday.
