The A.P. Advocates’ Welfare Fund Committee has cleared all the pending applications of advocates for death and retirement benefits and financial assistance and sanctioned over ₹4.42 crore during its recent meeting chaired by N. Dwarakanatha Reddy.
According to an official release, the meeting was attended by committee members Muppalla Subba Rao and P. Narasinga Rao and the representatives of the Andhra Pradesh High Court and the Department of Law.
The committee sanctioned ₹3.77 crore towards death benefit for the family members of 75 deceased advocates, ₹50,40,500 as financial assistance to 85 advocates on medical grounds and retirement benefits to five advocates amounting to ₹15 lakh.
Besides, the A.P. Advocate Clerks’ Welfare Fund Committee sanctioned ₹39 lakh towards death benefit to the family members of 12 clerks, ₹7,17,500 financial assistance to 18 clerks on medical grounds and ₹5.65 lakh retirement benefit to seven advocate clerks.
