The Forest Department is preparing to plant 50,000 saplings in the 120 acres of forest land that was recovered in an anti-encroachment drive on June 23.

The 120 acres of forest land is located on Survey No. 1 of Kadugodi Plantation, Bidarahalli Hobli in east Bengaluru. The market value of the land is estimated to be more than ₹4,000 crore.
